James Arthur Kaufman, Jr., age 57, of Sandstone, Minnesota, passed away on April 17, 2026, at his home.

Jamie was born May 24, 1968, in Dubuque. He attended Hempstead High School and graduated in 1986. He received his PharmD degree from the University of Iowa and worked as a pharmacist for many years.

Jamie enjoyed boating, fishing, and hanging out with his friends.

He is survived by his mother, Carole Kaufman of Florida, his sisters, Kim Kaufman of Florida, Jill Helling (Geron) of North Carolina, and his niece Madison Helling of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Arthur Kaufman, MD.

The Methven Funeral Home of Sandstone, MN, is assisting the family.

A private family burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque at a later date.
