Irene Wilhelmina Manning (Fryer) was born on December 18, 1929 to Henry and Minnie Fryer in Britton, South Dakota.  Irene graduated from Britton High School in 1946 and went on to work in the healthcare field for her entire career with 25 years at the Park Nicollet Clinic. Irene married William Wallace Manning on July 5, 1956 in Watertown, South Dakota.  After living in Mitchell, South Dakota for a couple of years the family moved to St. Louis Park and in 1985 moved to her current home in Isle.

Bill and Irene loved their work and time with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, boating, were lifetime members of the V.F.W., bowling and Twins games.   Irene loved being in the sun, gardening, going for walks, spending time with her friends and visits from her children and grandchildren.

Irene passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2022, surrounded by her children, into the loving arms of Jesus and to a great reunion of all the family members she so dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Manning; grandchildren, Sara Manning and Benjamin Manning; mother, Minnie Fryer; father, Henry Fryer; brothers, Frank Fryer and Melvin Fryer, and sister, Martha Fryer Kingsley.

Survivors include her children, Lois (Pastor Bruce) Falksen, Linda "Linn" (James) Anderson, Susan (Gregory) Skindelien, Henry Benton, Thomas (Nancy) Manning, Cinthia Manning; her grandchildren, Annette Tjepkema (Dennis), MaLisa Anderson, Darrell (Kris) Ingebretson, Timothy Falksen, Henry Benton, Jr., Crystal Draeger (Arthur), Neil Ingebretson, and Joseph Manning; 18 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Methven Funeral Home, Mille Lacs Chapel in Isle with Pastor Bruce Falksen officiating.  Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Isle.
