Henrietta "Henri"
Marie Carlier
Dec 26, 1935 — Jun 13, 2024
Hinckley
Henrietta Marie Carlier went home to Jesus on June 13, 2024, at the age of 88. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
Henrietta was born to Joseph H. and Eleanor Beckers on December 26, 1935, in St. Paul, MN. She graduated from South St. Paul High School and Minneapolis Busine ss College. On September 1, 1956, she married Kenneth M.Carlier. They resided in South St. Paul, Litchfield and moved to Hinckley in 1972.
Henrietta was an active member and volunteer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She was known for her giving to others through involvement in many organizations including 4-H, Christian Women's, American Legion Auxiliary, Progressive Sewing Circle, Pine Needlers Quilt Guild, and bible studies.
Henrietta enjoyed quilting and shared her creations with family, friends and those in need. As a child, she was active in 4-H and raised a lamb. This ignited her love and passion for collecting sheep figurines, pictures, and anything with a cute sheep on it. Henrietta loved spending time with and spoiling her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sheep cookie jar was always full for whoever came to visit.
Henrietta joins her parents, Joseph H and Eleanor Beckers, Kenneth Carlier, sister-in-law, Donna Beckers, beloved Aunt Margaret Petron and many friends and family members in Heaven.
Henrietta's legacy will be carried on by her children: Martin (Tracy) of Cottage Grove, Nancy (William) Benson of Mankato, Thomas (Lisa) of Portland OR , Jeanne (Gary) Degerstrom of North Branch and Donald (Jill) of Hinckley; grandchildren Anna (Eric) , Holly (Matt), Cory (Anna), Oksana (Nick), Blake, Dani, and Adam; great grandchildren Fiona, Katelyn, Rory and Carl; brothers, Joseph L Beckers and George (Linda) Beckers and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured lifelong friends.
The family acknowledges with sincere appreciation the many comforting messages, cards, flowers, prayers and other expressions of kindness expressed. Special thanks to the caring staff at ELDERWOOD who provided a place to call home for her final years and especially the kindness, memories, hugs, and love shown during the final stages of her journey to heaven.
