Helen Marie Sjodahl, of Malmo, Minnesota, passed away on May 27, 2026 in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  She was 102 years old.

Helen was born on October 18, 1923 at home in Friesland, Minnesota to Olaf Leonard and Maria Margarta (Hult) Norlander.  She attended Sandstone High School and graduated in 1941.

She married Luverne Pershing Sjodahl on October 20, 1945 in Hinckley, Minnesota.  They were blessed with four children.

Helen is survived by her daughter Susan (Chuck) Erickson of Apple Valley, son Kevin (Lynn) Sjodahl of Starbuck, MN, grandchildren, Kathy (Collin) Cook, Haleigh (Dan) Sjodahl, Amanda (Alex) Sjodahl, and great-grandchildren, Kyla and Quinn Cook and many nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.

A special thanks to her neighbors and caregivers for all their help and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Luverne, sons, Ronnie and Gary, granddaughter Kristine Erickson, sisters Ingrid and Anne, brothers, Ray, Harry, and Herb.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Mille Lacs Funeral Home (460 Main St. Isle, MN) on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11:00AM there will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.  Final resting place will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Malmo, MN.  Following the burial there will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00PM at the Mille Lacs Trail Snowmobile Club (31844 235th Lane, Aitkin, MN).
