Gloria Mae Orlando, age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Timber Pines in Pine City, Minnesota. She was born on April 5, 1931, to Fred and Elizabeth (Naatz) Thiele in St. Paul, Minnesota. Gloria spent her formative years in Eastside St. Paul, graduating from Harding High School. Throughout her life, she lived in various communities, including North St. Paul, White Bear Lake and Vadnais Heights, before settling in Pine City in her later years.

On June 11, 1949, Gloria married the love of her life, Martin A. Orlando, Jr. She devoted herself to her family as a homemaker and was affectionately known as a nurturing nanny to many children. Gloria had a passion for crafting, particularly with flowers, and enjoyed sewing, creating countless cherished items for those that were special to her.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Martin; her parents, Fred and Elizabeth; her daughter, Maureen Collova; and her brother, Gordon. She is survived by her daughters, Michele Collova and Melodee Orlando; her sons-in-law, Patrick and George Collova; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren with two to be born in October and November.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date to honor Gloria.
