Gerrett Osterdyk, passed away on September 22, 2021, at the Cerenity Care Center in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.  He was 96 years old.

Gerrett was born in Steenwijkerwold, Netherlands to Pieter and Dora Oosterdijk.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marian.

Gerrett is survived by his son Richard Osterdyk, and daughters; Becky (David) Schafhauser and Barbara (Mitchell) Buckley, grandchildren; Mackenzie and Brandon Osterdyk and Jerad and Brittany Buckley, great-grandchildren; Dayton, Devin, and Olivia Osterdyk.

Gerrett was a successful dairy farmer in Kanabec County.  He won many awards with his registered Holsteins cattle.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He enlisted in the Army January 13, 1945, and was shipped to the Marshall Islands, then sent to Korea.  He was a proud member of the American Legion in Ogilvie.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, at 1:00PM at Ogilvie Methodist Church in Ogilvie, Minnesota. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Pastor Debra Shaffran will be officiating, and military honors will be performed by the Ogilvie American Legion.   Burial at Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie will take place at a later date.
