Obituary

Gerald Frank "Jerry" Moris, age 90, formerly of Pine City, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024. Jerry was born on February 13, 1934, to Robert and Agnes Ann, and grew up in North St. Paul. He graduated from North St. Paul High School, then enlisted in the Army and became a medic during the Korean War. Jerry had many careers during his long life, including car salesman, bar owner, and blackjack dealer, but his favorite occupation was farming. He owned a beautiful farm in Finlayson that he worked for over 40 years. Jerry was a devout Catholic, attending mass every Sunday. He loved card games of all kinds, especially cribbage, and visiting the American Legion Post in Pine City with his wife Karen. Jerry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will live on in the hearts of all who love him.

Preceded in death by his sons Jeff and Michael, and daughters-in-law Robin and Sue, and son-in-law Bill, his brothers Mel and Joseph and sister-in-law Charlotte. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Karen Moris (Martini), his children and step-children Dan, Andrea (Kenny), Jo Marie, Pat (Lynaell), Karen, Veronica (Mike), Anne (Randy), Greg (Vickie), Kris, April (James), Matt, Ken, Jim (Ginger), Carrie (Kurt), Sean (Nora), Shellie (Brian), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Rich, sister Marianne (Leonard), sister-in-law Marion, and many friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at a viewing 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at Methven Funeral Home, 114 5th St, Sandstone. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19th at 11 am at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 122 Commercial Ave N, Sandstone (with viewing at 10 am).
