Geneva Ann Nelson, age 73, of Muskegon, Michigan passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, after a short illness, at Trinity Hospital in Muskegon.

Geneva was born on June 19, 1950, at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Werner and Helen (Kessel) Nelson. She spent her early years in North St. Paul. In 1962 the family moved to a farm in Askov, MN. Geneva graduated from Askov High School in 1968. After graduation, she moved to East St. Paul and began working at Midwest Spring Manufacturing. She moved to Muskegon, MI in 2005 when the company relocated. Geneva retired from Midwest Spring in 2019, employed with the company for more than 51 years. Geneva enjoyed fishing, traveling the country with Kathy, softball, bowling, and spending time with her huge beloved family. She was a firm believer in living her best life all her life and always looked for the good in each day.

Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, Werner and Helen Nelson; brothers, Mark Nelson and Michael Nelson; sisters, Judy Nelson and Iona (Candi) Good, and her best friend, Kathy Lanquist.

Geneva is survived by her brother, Lyle (Lynn) Nelson of Vadnais Heights, MN, sister, Linda Bloominger of Hinckley , MN, brother, Kenneth (Maricel) Nelson of Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines, brother, Kerry (Barbara) Nelson of Ely, NV, sister Rose Marie (Willie) Varnado of Hinckley , MN, sister Laurie (Robin) Jorgensen of Sandstone, MN, and many, many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Geneva starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the City of Hinckley Community Center, located at 102 Dunn Ave N, Hinckley.
