Gary Kenneth Pearson of Brook Park, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, with family by his side after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 73 years old.

He was born on October 18th, 1952, to Dawn (Meyers) and Kenneth Pearson. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora. He attended Quamba grade school and graduated from Mora High School in 1970. He continued his education at Concordia in Moorhead and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

He met Marilyn Jensen while working at Fingerhut in Mora. They were married on December 7th, 1990, and were blessed with daughters, Shelby and Kelsey.

He worked as an Industrial Engineer and Plant Manager at Fingerhut at various locations for a number of years. He then returned to the farm he grew up on where he had a successful career as a hard-working Dairy Farmer. He finished his working days as a Night Manager at Holiday Station in Mora where he made many friends.

Gary loved playing and watching sports. In school he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, American history and traveling. He and Marilyn road tripped to many national landmarks and historical sites over the years.

He is preceded in death by his parents as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Shelby Pearson (Ben Lodge) and Kelsey Abbott (Will); granddaughters, Nora and Harper Abbott; sister, Sandi Jurek (Steve); nephews, Jeff, Ben and Greg Jurek, and their families; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Jensen (Diann) and Marshall Jensen (Cheri).

Gary and his family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Welia Hospital, especially those in Outpatient Services.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora, Minnesota with Pastor Gary Guptill officiating.  There will be a visitation from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Dresser Methven Chapel in Mora, Minnesota as well as one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora, Minnesota.
