Gary Lee Hinz died on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home in Mora.  He was 78 years old.

Gary was born on August 19, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa to Hans and Mathilda (Lass) Hinz.  Throughout his life he resided in Clinton, IA, Spring Lake Park, MN and Mora, MN.  He served in the United States Army from 1960-1963 and after being honorably discharged he worked as a machinist in a plastic factory.

He was a member of the American Legion, North Suburban Bowling League and the Civil Air Patrol.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, the MN Vikings, bowling and camping.

Gary is survived by two brothers, one step-son, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
