Francis Fred Bachman, of Mora, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at St. Clare Living Community in Mora after a short battle with leukemia.  He was 88 years old.

Francis was born November 14, 1936, at home north of Mora to Charles and Ethel (Marschel) Bachman.  He was one of three children raised on the family farm in Warman, Minnesota.  He attended Warman school and later Mora High School.

Francis was married to Jeanette Kleven on July 7, 1956, in Mora, they had one son, Terry, born July 6, 1957, in Mora.

Francis "Fran" worked at the Mora Creamery.  Later they owned and lived at the Quamba grocery store- he still claimed that was the best years of his life.  Later they had a Red Owl grocery store in Deer River, Minnesota, they were there for six months before coming back to Mora to start the Super Valu grocery store which they ran for many years.  They also owned Ben Franklin and a car wash.  Fran and Terry raised beef cattle on their family farm in Warman.  Fran also drove school bus for many years with many students still remembering him.

Fran loved snowmobiling, camping, golfing, fishing, and bowling.  His favorite saying was always "One day at a time".

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Emmanuel (Neola) Bachman, sister Evangeline (Lawrence) Lilienthal, one niece and one nephew.

He is survived by his son Terry (Debbie) Bachman, nephews and nieces and significant other, Audrey Hines.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 2:30PM at the Dresser Methven Funeral Home in Mora, Minnesota. There will be a visitation from 1:00PM-2:30PM at the funeral home.
