Evelyn (Jensen) Tuomi, formerly of Askov, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, surrounded by family at Essentia-St. Mary's in Duluth, MN. She was 77 years old.

Evelyn was born on June 23, 1947, to Wagner and Ruth Jensen and grew up in the close-knit community of Askov, MN. She married Larry Jensen on December 18, 1965. After their divorce in 1978, she found love again with Don Tuomi, whom she married in June 1984. Evelyn and Don traveled for some time before deciding to settle in Arizona. They lived there for 16 years before moving back to Litchfield, Minnesota where she resided until after Don's death.

In 2017 Evelyn and Larry found their way back to each other and moved to Hinckley, MN. Evelyn retired from NorthStar Processing in 2017 where she was the office manager and accountant. Evelyn and Larry lived together in their Hinckley home for 8 years until Evelyn's passing. She was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Askov, maintaining her strong connections with the community she cherished.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents, Wagner and Ruth; her infant daughters, Teresa and Pamela Jensen; and her beloved chocolate lab, Daisy Mae.

Evelyn leaves behind a loving partner, Larry Jensen, daughter Tammy (Monte) Harvey, grandchildren Daniel (Elaina) Harvey, Nicole (Kylee) Sauter, and great-grandchildren Masen, Annalye, McKenzie, and Finley. She is also survived by her sister Esther (Bob) Stevens, brothers Robert (Betty) Jensen, Roger (Cindy) Jensen, and Roland (Wanda) Jensen, many nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Evelyn at 11am on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Askov, MN, with Clara Edin, S.A.M. officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Evelyn's burial will take place at a later date.
