Evelyn Lobdell of Mora, Minnesota 1925-2022

Evelyn (Evie) Lorraine Lobdell (Nelson) of Mora, Minnesota, died peacefully on November 18, 2022 at St. Clare Living Community. She was 97 years old.

Evie was born in Mora, MN on August 22, 1925, the daughter of Carl and Freda Nelson. She married Glenn Lobdell on June 11, 1949 in Mora, MN. Together they operated a registered Holstein dairy on the family farm south of Henriette, MN. They retired to Mora, MN in 1993. Evie and Glenn were active in their church, regularly attended old-time dances and volunteered in their community.

Evie is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lobdell and survived by three sons, Douglas (Julie Hoff) of Eden Prairie, MN, Gregory (Joey) of Brooklyn Park, MN and Scott (Kathy) of Hudson, WI; 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora with Pastor Gary Guptill officiating. Music is being provided by Jacki Peterson. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church.
