Eric William Andersen, 51, of East Bethel, Minnesota, passed away on Friday June 27th of natural causes at his home.

Eric was born on July 24, 1973, to Allen Andersen and Cindy (Grandt) Andersen. Two years later he became a big brother to Jeremy. Eric and Jeremy grew up in Rush City and then moved to Forest Lake where he graduated high school in 1992.

Eric lived a very happy life surrounded by a multitude of friends and family. More than we would have ever known. He was also, as his niece Claire had said, "A man of many hobbies". Yes, he was. If he wasn't scuba diving in Coon Lake, you might have found him bowling, playing softball, golf, tennis, football or anything else that may have been of interest to him. And if he wasn't at any of those sporting events, he may have been hanging out with neighbors, friends or family.

As a lot of you also know, Eric was a jokester. He loved doing comedy with "Common Man" and "Meatsauce" from KFAN radio. His moniker was "Monday Night Football" guy (MNF) on KFAN. He had his own style and loved to make people laugh! HE, HE, HE!

Eric also loved to travel, seeing all 50 states by his mid 40's and going to every amusement park to ride the biggest roller coasters he could! He was kind of a big kid at heart that way. Eric loved the water and loved to scuba dive in his lake. He was also a certified rescue diver for TCPBA Power Boat Racing.

He was a dedicated Boy Scout achieving the highest honor of Eagle Scout at the age of 17. While in high school he worked evenings to pay his way to two National Boy Scout Jamborees in Washington DC, which was a goal he had for many years while in Boy Scouts.

Eric is survived by his mother Cindy (Mark) Kelly, his father Allen Andersen, brother Jeremy (Melinda) Andersen, nieces Dana and Claire Andersen, Brooke and Britney Hansen, nephews John Andersen and Bryon Hansen, great-nieces Kylie Wuelner and Brielle Hansen and great-nephew Desmond Byers; Along with his maternal grandmother Ruth Grandt, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Eric's life celebration will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with a small family and close friends gathering at 11am at Hope Free Lutheran Church, 18323 Lexington Ave Ne, Wyoming MN 55092 following is a public celebration at 1 pm at the Coon Lake Community and Senior Center, 182 Forest Road, Wyoming, MN 55092.
