Ellen Mary Christopherson, peacefully passed away holding the hands of her Husband and Daughter in their home in Bruno, MN on Saturday October 23 ^rd , 2021.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1959. Her family moved to Lombard, IL when she was eight years old. It was in Lombard where she met her lifelong friend and honorary sister Laurie Adler who was with her when she passed as well. Ellen grew up in Lombard, IL attending Sacred Heart grade school and Montini High School where she graduated in 1977. After graduation she worked at Bruss Nursery and then OAG, where her Father and Brother also worked. In 1985 she moved to Minnesota and worked at Kelco for over 10 years. Ellen then moved to Ham Lake MN and started working for Wasche Law Office in 2002 (now Sjoberg Law Office) where where she retired from.

Ellen was married to Paul Christopherson on March 17 ^th , 2009. Ellen and her husband Paul shared many interests such as deer hunting, trap shooting, fishing, camping, and any activity involving their children. Ellen was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 2004. She underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation over the next year. In 2005 Ellen walked in her first Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day walk where she raised $2,300 and walked 60 miles in 3 days. Between 2005 and 2021 Ellen walked in more than Ten 3 Day walks. This cause became very important to her family and in 2014 her whole family walked to honor her Ten year mark of being cancer free. Ellen's hobbies include hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin, and anything that involved their grandchildren. While at the cabin Ellen loved bird watching and seeing all of the birds that graced their bird feeders. She was also quite the gardener and had many different flower beds and gardens.

Ellen is preceded in death by her Mother Moya Brigid Howe (Donnelly), and her Father Herbert (Red) Howe. Ellen is survived by her Husband Paul Christopherson (who resides in Bruno, MN), her Daughter Maggie (Tony) Bartlett, Step Daughters Tina (Paul) Mielke, Carrie (Chris) Hvezda, Step Son Corey (Angi) Christopherson, Grand children Joshua Christopherson, Elise Bartlett, Elizabeth Hvezda and Alexander Hvezda. She is also survived by her siblings Ken Howe, Elaine (Tom) Zager and Eileen Turnbow along with her nieces and nephews Basil Zager, Robert Howe, Mickey Zager, James Howe, and Lilly Turnbow.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Methven Funeral Chapel in Sandstone, MN.
