Doris Henrietta Anna Hicks died Friday, July 5, 2024 in McGregor, MN.  She was 102 years old.

Doris was born on September 23, 1921 in Wagner Township, Giese, MN to Paul and Bertha (Schlief) Raduenz.  She attended Wagner Township District 99 School.

Doris was married to Edwin Weiss from October 1939 until December 1959, then to Ronald Hicks from June 1965 until December 2005.   She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giese and lived just one mile from it all but the years she lived in Milwaukee, WI. She taught Sunday School and was the "flower lady".

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; brothers, Roy (Delila) and Whitney (Zelda) Groeschel and sisters, Gladys (Lloyd) Haas and Ruth Groeschel, brothers-in-law, August (Frances) and Irwin Weiss, sister-in-law, Bertha Hannu.

She will be greatly missed by her survivors: sons, John (Pauline) Weiss of Isle, and David Weiss of Finlayson; sister-in-law, AnnaMaria Weiss; nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giese with Pastor Richard Langhorst officiating.  Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the church.  Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
