Donald "Didley" Haggberg of Isle, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 88 years old.
Donald Peter Haggberg was born in Isle, MN on October 6, 1937, to Fred and Viola (Elgren) Haggberg. He attended school in Isle, MN and graduated in 1955. Donny married Patricia Thielen on February 20, 1960 in Isle, MN, where they raised their five children.
After graduation Donny worked at the local service station and for local construction contractors, moving on to haul cattle and freight. He then spent many years at North Star Drilling, traveling the country. Finally, he stayed home to finish out his working years hauling lumber and equipment. Donny made many good friends along the way. He also served on the Isle City Council and was a member of the Isle Fire Department for many years.

Donny's hobbies included auctions, tinkering on old trucks, tractors, and anything he could fix. If it was red, orange, or had a KW badge on it, it totally had his attention, with the latest addition being his childhood dream "His Allis G".

Donny is survived by his children; son Ronald (Kelly) Haggberg, daughter Kristi (Bob) Pedersen, son Mark (Dhondra) Haggberg, daughter Lisa (Russ) Sahlstrom, son Pete (Nicole Peterson) Haggberg; 12 grandchildren Lacy, Lexy, Tara, Kevin, Amber, Emma, Elyse, Alex, Mariah, Rease, Cody, Taylor; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Dorothy Haggberg and Barb Kopas; brother-in-law Gary (Sharon) Thielen; many nieces, nephews, relatives, good friends, and Godchildren.

His hardworking days are done, his hands can now rest, his heart is calm, his burdens have been released as he is reunited in heaven with his wife Pat; parents Fred and Viola; brothers Denny, Roland (Bud), Gordy; sisters Charlotte, Virginia (Moe); and grandson Macen.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church in Isle, MN, with Pastor Josh Blair officiating. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the service.
