Diana May
Norton
Jun 6, 1936 — Oct 6, 2023
Hinckley
Diana May Norton, beloved mother and grandmother, age 87, went to be with the Lord on October 6th, 2023, in her home, with her family by her side.
Diana is survived by her sons, James (Rhonda) Norton, Chris (Julie) Norton, and Ted Norton, daughter, Jill Norton, and grandchildren; Caitlin, Nicholas, McCoy, Caleb and Sloane Arguss.
Diana is preceded in death by her husband, of 52 years, Darrell Norton and daughter Mary Norton.
Diana was born on June 6th, 1936, in Anoka, Minnesota. She and Darrell met at a roller rink in February of 1962 and were married on June 30th, 1962. They wanted to move to Hinckley to raise their children. They owned and ran a dairy farm at their home in Hinckley for many years, but soon after they raised sheep, chickens, a few horses, and many barn cats. Diana had a love for animals like no other.
Diana loved anyone and everything. Most importantly she loved being a mother, and even more, a grandmother.
Diana was a hard worker all her life. She got her first job at a clinic in Anoka, and then for many years worked at a factory. From there she worked as a secretary for a veterinary clinic and then was a baker at Cassidy's for many years. Diana loved to cook and bake but her specialty was bread. She adored making different breads and buns for her family and her church. Diana was very involved with her church. Her favorite thing was to volunteer for bible school.
Diana has an entire community behind her. She will be missed and loved by so many. Per Diana's wishes, there will not be any public services.
Here is a prayer Diana and her family said before each meal they shared together; "For these and all our gifts of love we give our thanks and pray. Look down on father from above and bless us all our days, Amen."
