Dennis (Denny) Harold Lemm, 82, of Isle passed away Saturday October 28, 2023 in Aicota Healthcare Center, Aitkin.
He was born in Isle, MN on October 14, 1941, to Lloyd and Virginia (Ritchie) Lemm.
Dennis married Beverly Liljenquist on December 1, 1962, in Malmo, MN.
He entered the Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Post #2816, he was a 2-time commander, received All State status. He was instrumental in forming the V.F.W. 2816 Scholarship Fund and served on the committee. He was an active member of the Color Guard. Also, a former Lion Club member.
Dennis worked as a manager at Federated Co-ops for over 20 years and served on the Board of Directors for 15 years. He was on the M.I.K. Tracking Board for 15 years.
He was very active in the community and Isle Days and served as Grand Marshall.
Dennis enjoyed hunting, motorcycle trips, traveling and so loved music. He played in 3 different bands, the last was County Ramblers for 7 years, just on weekends with his friends. He also liked cars and Hot Rods, on occasion he would be seen going to a car show or two.
He helped with the Pinz Estate Development. He was instrumental in getting the Greater Minnesota Credit Union (Spire) to Isle with Gene Oberfeld.
He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church where he was a church council member. Dennis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly. Sister: Sharon Johnson, Godchildren: Todd Swedberg, Carrie Garland, Linda Liljenquist and Debbra (Liljenquist) Lowe, Special friend: Mark (Lori) Menke. Several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 3rd at 11:00 am in Faith Lutheran Church, Isle, MN with Pastor Josh Blair officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church. Luncheon to follow.
Military Honors will be provided by the Isle V.F.W. Post #2816 and Isle American Legion. Inurnment will be in Sunset Park Cemetery, Isle, MN.
