Dennis F. Joy, oldest son of John and Idona Joy, was born February 1, 1943 in Pine City, MN. He passed away on July 7, 2022 at the age of 79. He entered the Army in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1967. He met the love of his life Mary (Baron) and were united in marriage on April 5, 1968 in St. Paul, MN. Dennis and Mary moved to the Mora area in 1970 where they built their home and raised their three children. Dennis worked as a State Electrical Inspector and enjoyed sharing many stories of his time on the job. He truly enjoyed time spent hunting, fishing and visiting with family and friends. The antlers surrounding Dennis's Urn are from a deer shot by his granddaughter Sam.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents John and Doni Joy, his wife Mary, daughter Kathi, brother Tim and sister Anne. He is survived by his daughter Patti and Jim Pallow of Ham Lake, son Mike and Marnie Joy of Braham, grandchildren Samantha, Daniel, Greta, Aubree, Matthew and Kaitlyn, sister Kaye and Les Caswell of Mora, sister-in-law Pat Joy of Mora, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dennis and Mary will be interred in the Oakwood Cemetery together with Military Funeral Honors.
