Obituary

Dennis Bernard Johnson, of Isle, Minnesota, died on January 13, 2022.  He was 77 years old.

Dennis was born in Rush City, Minnesota, on August 20, 1944, to Lennard and Dora (Olson) Johnson.  He graduated from Rush City High School in 1962 and served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967.  After the Army he returned to Rush City and took over the family farm where it remained the Johnson Family Farm and celebrated being a Century Farm.  Dennis was also a master carpenter and built an addition to the Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City.  This is where he met his future wife, Christine Hetznecker.  On August 20, 1997 they were married.  They later moved to Wahkon and after Christine's passing Dennis moved to Isle.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping friends with any handyman or carpentry work.  He was well known at the Wahkon Inn, because that was the only place he liked to eat.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine, his parents Lennard and Dora and his brother Leland.

Dennis was a kind and loving person and will be deeply missed by many.
