Obituary

Delphia Joan Cooper, of Isle, MN, passed away on July 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old.

She was born on August 7, 1937, in Rapid City, SD, to Marion and Ruby DeWitt, Delphia later moved to Mora, MN with her family on land still known to this day as the DeWitt Pool. After living at DeWitts Pool, Delphia's parents and family moved to live in Isle.  She married the love of her life, Marion Robert Cooper on April 27, 1957. Marion and Delphia settled in Isle, where Delphia spent her days enjoying her family and friends until she passed.

Delphia's zest for life shone through in everything she did. From her early days as a cheerleader at Isle High School to her dedication as a home health aide, Delphia's passion for caring for others was clear to all who knew her. She was a cherished member of the Isle Evangelical Free Church, the Isle Gardening Club, and the Do Nothing Club, where she shared her warmth and kindness with those around her.

Family meant everything to Delphia. She adored spending time with her children, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delphia's love for her family was unwavering, and she took great joy in learning about family genealogy, tending to her garden, and caring for her animals.

Delphia is survived by her children, Denise (Bryand) Haglund, Gary (Noreen) Cooper, Bruce Cooper, Andrew (Kristin) Cooper: grandkids, Garrett (Brittany) Haglund, Robert (Katie) Cooper, Spencer (Jill) Haglund, Amber Cooper, Madison Cooper, Ashlyn Cooper, eleven great grandchildren, sisters, Dorthy DeWitt, Gloria (Doug) Older, and many other family and friends
