Delores (De) Quittem, 91, died peacefully on June 11, 2025, at Trails of Orono, with family by her side.  De was born 2/3/34 to Ludwig and Carrie Larson.  She grew up in Maple Plain.

De met Ron Quittem at her senior skip day from Orono High School at Taylors Falls.  She couldn't resist the good looking boy on the Harley motorcycle offering free rides.  After attending Minneapolis School of Art, De was recruited to work at Northwestern Bell in their drafting department where she created the first zip code map for the Twin Cities area.  De and Ron married in 1955; together they raised three children while living in their country home in Inver Grove Heights.   She  was a member of the American Swedish Institute and Dakota County Fine Arts Society and created many of her award winning paintings at Sky Gallery in West St. Paul. She forged many lasting friendships while attending Women's Circle.   Her faith in her Lord Jesus Christ was important to her and she wanted to lead by example and spread love to everyone she met.

In retirement De and Ron spent twenty-two winters in Sun City West Arizona.  They enjoyed many years in their home in Sturgeon Lake.  Mom enjoyed her later years being active at Trails of Orono where she was crowned their first homecoming queen!  We want to thank the amazing staff at Trails as well as her Park Nicollet Hospice Team.

Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 64 years, Ronald, brother's Harry and Don Larson, sister Betty Stinson, great-grandson Simon Q Stebbins.

Survived by children Scott (Eileen), Sandra, and Jill (Bruce) Larson.  Treasured by grandchildren Amy Elstein Jacob (Jeff), Ashley Larson, Brandon (Anne) Quittem, Joe (Laura) Duncan, Jacob Larson, Brittany (Wyatt) Stebbins, and Briel (Brad) Malmsten.  Great-Grandchildren Ian and Trace Elstein, Jordan Jacob, Wylie and Crosby Stebbins, Collin Duncan, and Jack Quittem.  Sisters Anne Holm and Karen Nyholm.  Many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday June 30th from 10-11am, and memorial service at 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 7600 Cahill Avenue East, Inver Grove Heights. Luncheon to follow.  Inurnment at Fort Snelling.  Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
