It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah "Deby" Jean Volk, of Sandstone, Minnesota, who left us peacefully on November 13, 2025. She was 69 years old.

Born on April 4, 1956, Deby lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She journeyed through life in Sandstone, Minnesota, and previously called Hinckley and St. Paul home. Deby married the love of her life, Donald "Don" Volk, on June 24, 1972, in Mora, Minnesota, and they shared many wonderful years together.

Deby wore many hats throughout her career, working as a waitress, a bank teller, and eventually in bank operations. Her warm personality saw her connect with countless people-she truly had a gift for making others feel special.

A devoted member of First Lutheran Church in Hinckley, Deby's faith was an important part of her life. She embraced the outdoors with passion, from traveling to visiting with family and friends, to working in her beloved garden filled with vibrant flowers. Those who knew her can picture her happily tending to her flower beds and planters with a loving hand.

Deby leaves behind her loving husband Don, her daughter Janeen from Inver Grove Heights, MN, and a multitude of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Deby was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her baby daughter, Alta Mae, and many aunts and uncles, who surely welcomed her with open arms.

Private family services are planned for a later date.
