David Andrew Peterson of Pine City, MN passed away on March 14, 2023 at Essentia Health Center in Sandstone, MN with his wife by his side. He was 73 years old.

David was born on August 3, 1949 to Perelius and Mary (Byrnes) Anderson in Superior, WI. After graduating high school, David served his country by joining the Army. When David was honorably discharged from his military duties he decided he wanted to travel but also wanted to earn a living, so he thought the best way to do this was to become a truck driver. David used to always say he got paid to play with one of the best big toys there was, semi-trucks. He was a truck driver for over 30 years. On November 20, 1991 David married the love of his life, Gloria McBride in St. Paul, MN. David had a love of old cars and it was one of his biggest hobbies. The car he loved the most was a 1958 Chevy Impala, he said there wasn't another car that could compare. David was a person that might come off as a "cranky old guy" but underneath his gruff exterior you would find a man that was caring, loving, and enjoyed his time with his grandkids.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Perelius and Mary. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria; his children, Joby and his wife, Justin (Rebecca) Peterson, Tina (Jacob) McBride, Stephanie (Clarence) Peterson, Steven McBride, Angelique, Sheila, Mary Lou; grandchildren, Austin, Camarianna, Natalia, Christian, many other grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim (Irene) McBride; sister-in-laws, Felicia Novals and Gail (Chris) Herdid.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Redeeming Love Church in White Bear Lake on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00am.
