David Anderson, of Wahkon, Minnesota, passed away on March 15, 2022 at Elim Home in Milaca, Minnesota.  He was 90 years old.

David Sidney Anderson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota September 15, 1931 to Bernice and Sidney Anderson. At the age of three, his family moved to Duluth and he graduated Duluth Central High School in 1949. After two quarters of college at UMD, he moved back to Minneapolis and worked at Honeywell as an Inspector for five years, 10 years for Swift & Co. as a Truck Driver, and 22 years for Milwaukee Motor Transportation before taking early retirement.

He married Barbara Larson in 1958 and lived in Burnsville. They bought property on the south shore of Mille Lacs in 1983 and designed and built their own home. He became South Harbor Town Clerk from 1991 and (served) on the Mille Lacs County Planning Commission from 1992 to 2002 and continued to serve as a Deputy Town Clerk until his passing.

David's hobbies included boating, motorcycling, fishing, working in the garage on a wide array of repair and construction/fabrication projects, and feeding and watching all the wild critters that passed through.

Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents Bernice and Sidney Anderson; and younger sister, Barbara (Mrs. John) Rudquist and niece, Erica Rudquist.

He is survived by his sister Beverly Tangen and her sons Pete and Hal; by his niece Analisa Shipquist and her four children Aiyana, Bryndyn, Zea, and Kodi; by nephew Aaron Rudquist, his wife Sara and their children Zach and Abby; and by nephew Peter-Jon Rudquist, his wife Katie and their children Nathanael, Jeremiah, and Joseph.
