Colin Cory
Robert Colsrud
Nov 2, 2004 — May 3, 2026
Finlayson
It is with great sadness that we share Colin Cory Robert Colsrud, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Colin was just 21 years young.
Born on November 2, 2004, in Moose Lake, MN, to Cory Colsrud and Dawn (Jensen) Mallet, Colin grew up embracing life in the Finlayson area. He attended and graduated from East Central High School in 2023.
Colin was a jack of all trades, having worked at various places, including Doc's, Waldham Construction, Preacher Cabinets, and Banning RV Park. He loved tinkering and had a passion for fabricating things. His downtime was spent enjoying his hobbies—whether it was shooting hoops on the basketball court, riding his dirt bike, going mudding, fishing, or having fun with Legos, he always found a way to make laughter a part of his life. And let's not forget about his speedy lawnmower and his knack for working on trucks!
Colin had a wonderful group of friends and was known for his outgoing nature and that crooked grin he always wore. He loved to joke around with everyone he cared about, and those who knew him well will remember him for his big heart and contagious laughter.
Colin is preceded in death by his grandpas, Bob Colsrud and Gary Jensen, and his uncle, Wesley Colsrud. He is survived by his father, Cory Colsrud, mother, Dawn (Jensen) Mallet, and siblings Brandon, Kyle, Angela, Sheldon, and Sheila. Colin will also be missed by his cherished nephews and niece, Abel, Calvin, and River, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
A celebration of Colin's life will take place on Tuesday, May12, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm at the Methven Funeral Home chapel, where friends and family will gather to share stories and fond memories.
Rest in peace, Colin. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
The family would prefer plants and memorials over flowers.
