Obituary

Clifford E. Polsfuss, of Mora, Minnesota, died on August 7, 2023, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota.  He was 87 years old.

Clifford was born in Milaca, Minnesota on January 1, 1936.  He moved around between Milaca, Princeton, and Monticello.  Growing up he helped at various farms with bailing hay and taking care of animals.  He was in the Scouts and was a crossing guard at school.  He attending different country schools in Mille Lacs county and Monticello and completed 7th grade. He was sent to school to learn how to set pins for the Monticello Bowling Alley.  He held various jobs including Minnegasco and housekeeping for the Grand Casino in Hinckley.  He resided in Mora after marrying Yvonne Schoumaker at the Mora United Methodist Church on October 29, 1977.

Clifford was active with the Boy Scouts and bowling leagues.  He also enjoyed helping with 4-H activities when his daughter Robyn was involved.

He loved telling Ole and Lena jokes, playing cribbage and cards, especially solitaire, and the game Aggravation with his family.  He liked listening to country music and dancing to Polka music.  He was always working on a jigsaw puzzle.  Most of all Clifford loved being with family.  He helped Robyn with cookies sales as a Girl Scout, with her animals in 4-H, and was always involved with whatever she did as her personal driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur E Polsfuss and Laura E Rowland, his siblings; Lorrain (Harry) Kaz, Raymond (Olive) Polsfuss, Phyllis (Ray) Stebbins, Roger L Rowland and Darlene (Dean) Simmonsmire, and his wife Yvonne (Schoumaker) Polsfuss.

Clifford is survived by his daughter, Robyn Polsfuss of Ogilvie, Minnesota and brothers; Robert (Jenny) Polsfuss of Maple Lake, Minnesota, Richard (Linda) Polsfuss of Big Lake, Minnesota, sister Julie (Leo) Waschek of Elkhorn, Nebraska, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside gathering will take place at Oakwood Cemetery on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:00PM followed by a luncheon at the Ogilvie Methodist Church.
