Clayton Lee Eklund of Wahkon died on June 18, 2024 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  He was 61 years old.

Clayton was born on June 21, 1962 in Onamia, MN to Norman and Helen (Cooper) Eklund.  He grew up in Malmo and attended Isle Elementary and graduated from Isle High School. On April 26, 1985 he was united in marriage to Tonja Thielen and they were blessed with four beautiful children.  Clayton worked as a heavy equipment operator, logger and boat mechanic.  He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, logging, working on the ice in the winter and spending time with his family, grandkids and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Helen Eklund; his grandparents; his siblings, Craig (Christine) Eklund, Joan Eklund, and Norman Carl Jr.; brother in law,  Michael Thielen,

Clayton is survived by his wife, Tonja; his children, Blake (Ashlei) Eklund of Milaca, MN, Whitney (Blake) Phipps of Fraser, IA, Chelsea (Brandon) Hunziker of Isle, MN, and Nick (Brea) Eklund of Isle, MN; his siblings, Clyde (Dawn) Eklund, Julie (Kerry) Colyer, Chris (Joy) Eklund, and Janine (Philip) Thielen; his grandchildren, Kloey, Kobe, Karsen, Averie, Adelynn, Kora, Kenadie, Amelia, Macie, Rayland, Carter, Thomas, Eleanor and Karlie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isle with the Reverend Doctor Josh Blair officiating.  Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the church.  Casketbearers are Blake Eklund, Blake Phipps, Brandon Hunziker, Nick Eklund, Kobe Current, and Karsen Holscher.  Honorary Casketbearers are Kloey Current, Averie Hunziker, Adelynn Eklund, Kora Phipps, Kenadie Phipps, Amelia Eklund, Macie Hunziker, Rayland Eklund, Carter Eklund, Thomas Eklund, Eleanor Eklund and Karlie Phipps.
