Cheryl Ann Guss, born on December 31, 1954, in Rutledge, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, with her daughters by her side, on February 16, 2026, in Duluth, Minnesota. She was 71 years old. Cheryl, a proud graduate of Finlayson High School, lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and a deep passion for the outdoors.

Cheryl had a long career in the food industry and was previously married to Darrell Hanson. She was an avid animal lover who found joy in gardening and spending time outside, surrounded by nature. Her home was always a haven for plants and pets alike, reflecting her warm spirit and nurturing nature.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved daughters, Sandra (Tim), Christine and Jennifer. She was also a proud grandmother to Mckayla (Jake), Mcklane (Carlee), Courtney (Johnny), Justin (McKayla), Lamya, and Robert Jr., her brothers Bob (Boots) and Mark, her sisters Sue, Mercedes (Bob), and Nadine (Dave), as well as a host of nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her loving parents Ignatius and Lucille, her brother-in-law Jim, and her sister-in-law Cindy.
