Burgstahler
Jul 11, 1956 — Oct 23, 2025
Ogilvie
Charles David Burgstahler passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2025, at his beloved country estate.
Charles "Charlie" was born on July 11, 1956 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in the Richfield/Edina area. He graduated from Richfield High School and attended St. Cloud State University. On September 28, 1985, he married the love of his life, Jane Anne Reese, and together they built a beautiful life and raised their family in the Twin Cities.
Charlie began his career as a machinist but later discovered his true calling in real estate. He was happiest outdoors - hunting, fishing, biking, camping - and most of all, spending time with his family. After retiring, Charlie and Jane settled in Ogilvie, Minnesota, and enjoyed winters traveling the southern United States in their camper, creating countless memories along the way.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Inez Burgstahler; siblings, Alan Burgstahler and Janis Wong; in-laws, Marvin and Eunice Reese; brothers-in-law, Joseph and Gail Reese; sister-in-law Brenda Reese.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane of Ogilvie, MN; sons, Mark (Kim) Ecklor of Washington, IA, Calvin (Aja Roberts) Burgstahler of Albuquerque, NM, Ryan (Alexa) Burgstahler of Milaca, MN; grandchildren, Annie (Hunter Gorecke) Ecklor, Mary Jane (Devon) Harlan, Mark (Danielle) Ecklor Jr., Oliver, and Everly; great-granddaughter, Josette Jane; siblings, Steve (Liz) Burgstahler of Cannon Falls, MN, and Judy Nelson of Minneapolis, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Burgstahler home. Please dress for the weather and bring a chair as we gather to honor Charlie's life and share stories of the man who meant so much to us all.
Arrangements by Methven Funeral and Cremation Services, Dresser-Methven Chapel.
