Carol Ann Nordeen died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 21 ^st 2022 at her home in Mora, Minnesota.  She was 89 years old.

She was born in Mora on August 14 ^th , 1932 and went to High school in Mora. Carol had two sisters Dorothy Gustafson(Deceased) and Mabel Ewald.

Carol met her eventual husband Vernon Nordeen in school before he went off to serve in the Airforce.  Following High School, Carol went to Minneapolis and lived with 3 girlfriends and worked at an insurance agency.  When Vernon returned from the service they were married on December 10, 1954. They settled in Richfield, Minnesota where they raised 3 boys Dale, Mark, and David. Carol became a full-time housewife raising the 3 boys. When the boys were older, she returned to the workforce doing secretarial work for West Benn Mutual. She was also an aide to an elderly woman for 5 years who needed help with daily activities.  When Vern retired from 3M company in February of 1993, they built a home northwest of Mora on 160 acres of land where they both retired and lived until present time.

Carol enjoyed being a mom and all that came with it. Cooking, sewing, arts and crafts were just a few of her hobbies.  She enjoyed spending time with her 11 grand kids and 13 great grand kids.  She will truly be missed by all!

Carol is survived by her husband Vern and sons Dale, Mark (Deceased) and David. Her grand children Kari Soderberg, Kyle Nordeen, Katie Craven, Kris Nordeen, Michelle Kopec, Nick Nordeen, Tony Nordeen, Noah Nordeen, Leif Nordeen, Tate & Finn Nordeen, and 13 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at Grace Lutheran church in Mora, Minnesota on Tuesday, May 31 ^st starting at 1 pm with a service beginning at 2 PM. There will be a reception at Grace Lutheran church the following burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
