Betty Ann (Hendricks) Berglund (82) peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 13 th at Fairview Hospital in Wyoming MN.
Betty was born August 29 th , 1939 to Guy and Agnes (Koland) Hendricks. She was the eldest of 4 children. She enjoyed working on the family farm until she graduated when she married in 1958 to Ralph Berglund. They lived in multiple Minnesota communities in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. They raised 3 children, Randy (Debby) Berglund, Rodney (Debbie) Berglund, and Deannah (Edward) Muha.
Betty will be remembered for her energy and lively spirit as an active member of multiple churches over her life, school PTO's, and in multiple community ventures serving in whatever area was needed. Recently, she volunteered extensively at the Pine County Historical Society's museum in Askov. She enjoyed decorating, water color painting, and was known for her immense hospitality. She also was very musical; playing her piano every chance she had.
Betty spent over 40 years being an integral part of a ServiceMaster MasterFranchise business in Duluth, Mn before her and Ralph retired to the community they both grew up in, east of Sandstone, Mn.
After Ralph's passing, she moved to Chisago City, MN where she became CEO of her daughter and son-in-law's restaurant using her hospitality skills. She also adventured and traveled as much as she could on mission trips including Haiti, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Texas and North Carolina over the last 5 years.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Berglund, her brother Donald Hendricks, and her son Rodney Berglund. She is survived by her sister Mary (Hendricks) Berger, brother Edgar (Pam) Hendricks, son Randy (Debby) Berglund, daughter-in-law Debbie Berglund, daughter Deannah (Edward) Muha, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She loved and took time for them all.
Funeral Services will be held at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom, MN Sunday, November 21 st at 3pm with one hour visitation prior. Private burial at Danforth Cemetery, Danforth, MN.
