Benjamin Scot Cervenka, known to friends and family as Ben, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of September 8, 2025, at the age of 35. Ben was born on October 30, 1989, to Scot and Lori (Hrabe) Cervenka in New Prague, MN. He spent most of his life in the close-knit community of Askov moving back to New Prague for a while before deciding Askov was where he wanted to be.

Ben's early education took place at Harvest Christian School, followed by East Central Middle School, and he proudly graduated from Willow River High School in 2008. Ben found his true passion in the kitchen and spent many years working as a cook. Most recently, he was a member of The Garage team, where he brought his culinary skills to life. Previously, he worked at places like Chubby's Bar and Grill, Doc's, and Carbone's Bar and Grill.

An adventurous spirit, Ben loved karaoke, dancing, community theater, and both baseball and softball games. He could often be found enjoying a good movie—especially if it was anime—dressing up for the Renaissance Festival with his girlfriend, Noel St. Aubin, or delighting in some good-natured teasing with his sisters. He was full of life and had a knack for lighting up any room he entered.

Ben is preceded in death by his father, Scot Cervenka; his grandparents, Albert and Mary Ellen Hrabe and Benjamin and Dorothy Cervenka; and his aunt, Val Hrabe.

Ben is survived by his mom, Lori (Joey Valentine) of Askov, MN; sisters, Sonya (Rick) Koerner of Mora, MN, Casey (Jordan) Sprouls of Askov, MN, Hannah (Jeff Turner) of Aitkin, MN; his significant other, Noel St. Aubin of Stacy, MN; many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

In honor of Ben's life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Askov Community Center, located at 6369 Kobmagergade, Askov, MN 55704.
