Barbara Jean Kemp, age 82, of Sandstone, MN passed away on September 3, 2021, at the Sandstone Health Care Center.

Barbara was born on June 23, 1939, to Lloyd and Grace (Anderson) Magnason in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in St. Paul and various suburbs over the years, moving to Sandstone in her later years. Barbara worked for NSA/MWR insurance company for many years ending as the vice president of the office. She married her sweetheart Warren Kemp, they had one daughter, Shari. Barbara loved knitting and other crafts, traveling, and dining out. She was a member of the American Legion Women's group.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Grace Magnason and her husband, Warren.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Shari (James Rolston) Bigay of Sandstone, MN, granddaughter, Jhanelle Miller of Duluth and her children, Zoey, Ella, Jaxson, Jossi, Elliot, Ezra; grandson Jonathan (Jeri) Bigay of Hinckley and their children, Emma, Warren; grandson Keith Rolstan of USAF, AZ; grandson, Matthew Rolston of Sandstone; granddaughter Allie Perry (Dean) of Askov and their children, Bethany, Emilee, Leland; nephew Gary (Carman) Kemp, their child Heather.

A burial is planned for Barbara at Fort Snelling in November.
