Mrs. Audrey Ione "Moody" Ziegler of Hinckley, Minnesota, passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 80, after having received last rites. As a devoted catholic she received Baptism, catechized, first communion, confirmation, and holy matrimony.

Born on September 3, 1944, to Archie and Elenora (Gohman) Moody, she spent her entire life on the same land where she first drew breath, building a legacy of faith, resilience, and love. On June 1, 1963, Audrey married Carl Herman Ziegler. Their union was blessed with four children: David, Teresa, Dennis, and LaDonna. Audrey's devotion to her family was unwavering—she worked tirelessly in various roles, from the Audubon Center and pharmacy to cleaning the church and parsonage, and eventually retiring from the Catholic Charities Meals on Wheels program. No matter how much she had on her plate, she never stopped praying for her family and making sure they knew the right way to live.

Audrey found joy in  the simple things—especially songbirds. She loved feeding and watching them flit through the trees outside her home. She also had a lifelong love for gardening, and an incorrigible sweet tooth.

Over the years, she shared her home with many beloved pets, but none quite like Abbie the wiener dog, who had a special place in her heart.

Pallbearers will be Justin Demorett, Robert Murray, Matthew Ziegler, Riley Ziegler, Michael Ziegler, and Kenneth Ziegler, with Shane Rossow and Stephen Franzmeier serving as honorary pallbearers.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Elenora Moody; her siblings, Leo Moody and Eileen (Arthur) Mans; and her beloved grandchildren, Clarence Kroschel, Ashley Rossow, Austin Franzmeier, and Chad Rossow.

She is survived by her children: David (Crystal) Ziegler of Finlayson, Mn., Teresa (Carey) Rossow of Grantsburg,Wi., Dennis Ziegler of Winfield, Ks., and LaDonna (Brian) Ziegler-Blesi of St. CroixFalls, Wi., and her sister, Mary Svoboda of Mission,Tx., twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends—all of whom were blessed to have known her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hinckley, Mn., on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00AM, with Fr. Sirba officiating, there will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Audrey will be laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetery in Hinckley Mn.
