Audrey Lorraine Ott, of Wyoming, MN, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on December 22, 1940, in Milaca, MN, Audrey was the daughter of Viola and Maurice Berry.

Audrey was raised in Isle, MN, where she attended Isle High School and graduated in 1959. Following her graduation, she pursued her passion for nursing and attended nursing school in Billing, MT. In 1961 Audrey married Oscar E. Nelson, they were married until 1984. They raised their family in Isle and Plymouth, MN

In 1986, she married her beloved husband, David, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and joined David in Chesterton, IN. Audrey worked as a clerk at the Chesterton Library during her time in Indiana.

Audrey had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought joy to her life. She had a green thumb and delighted in gardening and tending to her plants. Audrey enjoyed sewing and cooking thrifting and time spent at her cabin. She loved traveling with the Clan Maitland Society. Audrey also had a fondness for literature, finding solace within the pages of countless books. She loved playing Bunko and was an active member of the bowling club. Additionally, Audrey dedicated her time to serving her community as a voter clerk and was involved in the XYZ Club at the Free Church in Isle.

Audrey was preceded in death by her loving husband, David C. Ott, in 2013, her parents, Viola and Maurice Berry, as well as her sisters, Sharon Rohr and Gloria DeCora. She also joins many dear, departed family members and friends who held a special place in her heart.

Audrey is survived by her brother, Dennis Berry of Tacoma, WA;  her loving children, Karna and her husband, Patrick Hudoba of East Bethel, MN, Eric and Kathy Nelson of Rockmart, GA, Greda Nelson of Lindstrom, MN, Shestin Nelson of Preston, MN; her grandchildren, Leif Nelson, Elizabeth Waldron, Colin Jacott, Grace Jacott, Alex Nelson, Courtney Lawson, Josephine and Henry Hudoba; her great-grandchildren, Levi Begley, Isabella, Ryland Hudoba and Landry Waldron; Stepdaughters, Janice Ott, Florida and Audra Zehner-Simms , Indiana; Step-Grandchildren, Rachael (Nathan) Cloud, Korynn Amm, Kyle Ott, Victoria (Matthew) Lahti, Kayla Mowbray, Madison Simms ; Great Step-Grandchildren, Kendall Cloud, Micah Cloud, Isabella Cloud, Eleanor Amm, Walter Amm, Arya Lahti, Aksel Lahti, and Alek Lahti.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on February 3, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church in Isle, MN, where Audrey's roots lie. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Audrey's life, sharing cherished memories, and offering comfort and support to one another. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Opstead Cemetery following the service, lunch will be served after.

Audrey will forever be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and the legacy of kindness and compassion she leaves behind.
