Art passed away peacefully in his home on the evening of October 4, 2023, comforted by his daughter, Tammie, and his son-in-law, Scott.

Art was born on January 27, 1940 in a farmhouse in Freeland Township, Minnesota to George and Inez Craigmile. His childhood years
were spent on a farm near Canby. After graduating high school, he farmed near Boyd and served in the National Guard for 8 years. He later moved to the Minneapolis area and worked for Northwest Airlines as a plane refueler.

In 1968, he met Wilma, whom he was married to for 54 years. After getting married to Wilma, he also began working for Farmers Insurance, where he was an agent for 33 years. Art and Wilma raised their family in Bloomington before moving to their dream home in the woods near Isle in 2001.

During his lifetime, Art developed a passion for birds, wildlife, and tending to "The Land." Lovingly known to many as "Axman Art," he enjoyed
cutting, splitting and selling firewood, as well as clearing and developing beautiful hiking, skiing, and ATV trails throughout his property. Art and
Wilma spent their days enjoying the beauty of nature while riding on the trails and sitting on their screen porch overlooking their pond.

Art had a strong work ethic and was always working on a variety of projects. He was a talented and creative builder of bird feeders, benches, fences, gardens, deer stands, his picnic shelter and a tree fort for his grandchildren, just to name a few. He shared his talents with others by helping family and friends with their projects and anything else that was needed. He was a generous and giving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Art is preceded in death by his parents, George and Inez, his sisters, Gloria and Lola, and his wife, Wilma.

He is survived by his three children, Tammie (Scott) Green, Julie (Bill) Urban, Andrew (Jennifer) Craigmile, and his grandchildren, Kayla, Keil,
Carter, Connor, and Cianna. He is also survived by his sister, Sonja VanBinsbergen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at the Wahkon Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 5th at noon.
