Arlene Joyce Ratliff, age 88, of Princeton, MN formerly of the McGrath area passed away on January 29, 2022, at 8:05 in the morning.

Arlene was born on February 27, 1933, to Elmer and Viola (Dancer) Palmer in rural McGrath. On June 16, 1951, she was united in marriage to Donald Ratliff at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giese, MN. The couple made their home on a farm outside of Sandstone, MN. Arlene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She had to move a few times because of Donald's jobs. Arlene was an active member of the church until she had to move to Mora, MN in August 2012. She was a great cook like her mom and worked at many schools cooking. Arlene also loved helping people when she could. She was the best mother kids could have. For relaxing she loved doing Russian Embroidery and going to Midwest Country.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and his parents, Jim and Esther; her parents, Elmer and Viola; brother, Charles; and her niece, Viann.

Arlene is survived by her daughter Linda Ratliff; sons, Larry (Karen) Ratliff and Michael (Donna) Ratliff; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Family was a very important part of Arlene's life. She will always be remembered.

A memorial service will be held for Arlene on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giese, MN, with Pastor Richard Langhorst officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place following lunch at Spring Park Cemetery in Sandstone, MN.
