Arlen Eugene Houska of Finlayson, MN, previously of St. Croix Beach, Forest Lake and St. Paul, MN passed away on May 28, 2023, at Essentia Campus-Sandstone. He was 85 years old.

Arlen was born on July 15, 1937, to Joseph and Eva (Wahlberg) Houska in Hinckley, MN. After graduating high school, Arlen worked at Armour as a meat processing supervisor in South St. Paul. In 1986, Arlen decided to try another career path and became a security guard for Stillwater High School in 1986. He worked at the school until 1999 and then moved on to work at White Bear North High School, Forest Lake High School, and Minnetonka High School. Arlen loved working within the school districts, his favorite saying was " I know what you're here for and I think you know why I'm here."

Arlen is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Eva Houska.

Arlen in survived by his wife Claudia (Thompson) Houska; daughters, Julie Meisenhelder and Wendy (Lon) Hayes; grandchildren, Brian, Robert and Brenda Schmulske and Joe (Amanda) Houska; eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Alan (Minako) Holst and Alan's children, Sakura, Mickey, and Daisuuke.
