Anthony "Tony" Paul Mascarenas, Jr., age 52, of Sandstone, MN passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Sandstone Health Care Center.

Tony was born in Barstow, CA to Anthony, Sr. and Rosanna (Hansen) Mascarenas on April 8, 1970. He moved with his family to Minnesota and attended Hermantown High School where he participated in accordion band and 4H. Tony moved to Aurora, CO, then Boulder CO before returning to East Central Minnesota, where he resided until his passing.

Tony was known for his love of all things fantasy and comedy. He always made as many people smile as he could, whenever possible.

Tony is preceded in death by his baby siblings, Christopher and Theresa; maternal grandparents, Robert and Jeanne Hansen; and paternal grandparents, Adele Luiten and Lawrence Mascarenes.

Tony is survived by special friend, Becca Taylor; daughter, Keisha; parents, Anthony and Rosanna; siblings, Kristi (Tony) Salls, Aaron (Tara) Mascarenas, Carey (Amie) Mascarenas, Nathan (Liz) Mascarenas, and Mark (Brittany) Mascarenas.

A memorial service will be held for Tony at 12 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Moose Lake, MN, with Father Francis Kabiru officiating. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth, MN at a later date.
