After marrying Paul in 1965, Anne served as a substitute teacher, supported the family business, Hansen's Auto Spa, and later worked as a preschool teacher at Fraser School until they retired to Swedehaven in Mora in 2004. She was an active and devoted member of Oak Grove Lutheran Church of Richfield and First Presbyterian Church of Mora.

Anne loved her home on the Snake River with sandhill cranes, spring trillium, and pitcher plants on the cranberry bog. An artist, musician, world traveler, and naturalist, she was a gentle teacher, a skilled camper and canoeist, inspiring pride in all of her descendants of their Scandinavian heritage.

Anne is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bertil Monten, Jr..

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Einer Hansen; her sisters, Shari Casey and Linda Anderson; her children Daniel Einer Hansen (Shannon), Erik Paul Hansen (Mandy), and Maren Anne Woods (Alyssa); her grandchildren Genevieve Clara, Jerzy Griffith, Birch Monten, Maxwell Einer, Natty May, and Raina Sally Jo; and her great grandson, Theodore Arlo.
