Alfred Bryant of Mora passed away on 9/29/2025 at St. Claire rehab in Mora. He was 85 years old. He was born in Ladysmith WI to Harry and Zetta (Smalley) and raised in Bruce Wi. After the passing of his mother, his father married Mabel (Sandberg). Together they raised 8 kids.

On June 15th 1963, Al married his wife Virginia (Taylor). Together they raised 3 daughters and owned and operated a small dairy farm in Hawkins WI. His wife ran the farm and he took a job with the Soo Line Railroad in Hawkins where he worked for 21 years.

After selling the farm, they moved to Superior WI where he worked for CP Railroad for many years before retiring.

After retiring they moved to Mora MN.

Al loved the railroad and always had a story to tell anyone who would listen.

He is proceeded in death by his father, mother, stepmother. Brothers Lawerence, Donald, Butch and sister Velda, and his mother and father-in-law and 3 sisters in law.

He is survived by his loving wife Virginia, his daughters Yvonne Hemminger (Mike), Lisa Retzlaff (Ray) and Roberta Mills (Brad). Grandkids – Brandon, Carla (Tyson), Cassy (Mark), TJ (Tyler) and Brandy (Jerramiah). 3 great granddaughters – Aubrey, Macey and Evelynn and 2 brothers Melvin and Kenny.
