It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alene Viola Doering, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alene peacefully departed on June 27th, 2024, at St. Clare Living Community of Mora, with her family by her side.

Alene, born on September 25th, 1926, in Howard Lake, Minnesota, was the daughter of Ed and Dora (Reek) Lambert. She was raised in Howard Lake, and was baptized on October 17, 1926, and confirmed on March 17, 1940, both at St James Lutheran Church.  Alene married Sid on September 10th, 1950, in Howard Lake. They rented a dairy farm in Young America for a short time before making a move to their Moccasin Meadow farm north of Mora in 1952.  Sid and Alene were blessed with five children. In 2014 they moved to St. Clare Living Community of Mora "Resort".

Alene's life was defined by her unwavering dedication to service, demonstrated through her involvement in various church activities, her love for baking, gardening, sewing, and quilting, as well as her active participation in community endeavors and 4-H programs. Her legacy of grace, kindness, and family devotion will forever be a beacon of light to all those who were privileged to know her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Sid, and her parents Dora and Ed Lambert.

Alene is survived by her children; Nyla Nelson, David (Paula) Doering, Lori (Bruce) Fitzwater, Cindy (Dan) Olson, Tim (Carleen) Doering, as well as honorary son, Jerry (Judy) Jensen, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren with another one on the way and sisters-in-law Betty Lambert, Valerie Doering and Genell Doering.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 1:00PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Mora, Minnesota, with Pastor Anthony Cloose officiating.  There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
