Aaron Seth Anderson passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born on the first day of spring, March 20, 1940 to Alton and Unita Anderson in rural Sandstone, MN. He attended 4 different country schools and graduated from Sandstone High School in 1958. Aaron had an assortment of jobs working through the years including farmer, trucker, and factory worker. He retired after 35 years with Sheller Globe (Engineered Polymers Corp.) in Mora, MN.

Aaron had three children: Todd, Shanon, and Krystal, who he loved very much. Family and friends were extremely important to Aaron and with them is where he spent much of his time. Aaron delighted in watching his family grow through the years and cherished gatherings for holidays and celebrations. Aaron and his family spent countless hours in nature together, chopping firewood, clearing trails for 4-wheelers, collecting maple syrup, fishing, and hunting. His children and grandchildren learned to appreciate the present while sharing the familiar paths walking through his wooded property.

Aaron was a devoted follower of Christ and an active participant in his church. He was strong-willed and lived a life of reflection and independence. Aaron always had a joke or riddle to tell and entertained his friends and family by solving puzzles and performing magic tricks. Aaron spent many summer days at auction sales collecting tools, machinery, and other treasures. He never passed up a piece of pie or a cup of coffee with friends and family.

Aaron is preceded in death by his parents Alton and Unita Anderson; his brothers Keith Davis, Lloyd Anderson, Edward Davis, and Clinton Anderson; his sisters Barbara Bartel, Elaine Gutz, and Mavis Franseen; and an infant son, Dallas. He is survived by his brother Stanley (Pat) Anderson and his sister Linda (John) Talvitie; children Todd (Mary) Anderson, Shanon (Ron) Thomsen, and Krystal (Jeff) Seeling; grandchildren Kate (Greg), Leah, Samantha, Emerald, Raven (Josh), Malachi, Josiah, and Isaiah; and great-grandchildren Benjamin, Robin, Aaron, and Lincoln.

A memorial service is being held for Aaron on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 5 pm at the Methven Funeral Home chapel, with Pastor Matthew Morris officiating. Visitation will start at 4 pm and continue until the beginning of the service. No burial is planned for at this time.
